Medical Student Clerkship Director
Dr. Matt Schwartz is an attending Physician at South Shore University Hospital and Medical Student Clerkship Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
Dr.Schwartz obtained his Baccalaureate's degree from New York University in Biochemistry, with a minor in Mathematics. He went on to receive his medical education from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center.
Dr.Schwartz has a clinical interest in Sepsis, serving on the Northwell Sepsis Taskforce, and presenting on the topic nationally at SAEM 2020. He received the South Shore University Hospital Emergency Department Physician of the year award in 2020, and he is currently completing the Northwell Emergency Medicine Clinical Leadership Development Program.
Dr.Schwartz is a native Long Islander, and he loves his hometown. He also bleeds Mets Orange and Blue.
