Cameron Sweeney, MD

Dr. Cameron Sweeney is an attending physician and Associate Clerkship Director at South Shore University Hospital. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with majors in biology and chemistry from Georgetown University. He completed his medical school at Stony Brook University Medical School where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor society and was a Gold Humanism Award recipient. He completed his residency training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan where he served as chief resident in his third year. He worked at LIJ and LIJ Valley Stream hospitals before coming to South Shore University. He is an avid sports fan, and enjoys crosswords and astrophysics in his spare time. His wife is a pediatrician and he has two sons.
