Brian Blaustein, DO

Brian S. Blaustein, D.O., FACOEP has been on staff at South Shore University Hospital (formerly Southside Hospital) for the past 21 years. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, located in Bronx, New York, and is currently an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at the Northwell/Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University. He is extremely involved with Northwell’s Center for Emergency Services and Suffolk County EMS and serves as the medical director for many of our local Emergency Medical Service agencies, providing training, education and oversight. Dr. Blaustein was awarded the Suffolk Regional Emergency Services Council 2010 Physician of Excellence Award and currently serves as the Chairman of the Suffolk Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee. Most recently, Dr. Blaustein has been working to ensure the safety of our neighborhoods by becoming a Champion Physician to the American Heart Association’s Mission Lifeline and Firearm Injury and Mortality Prevention (FIMP) Programs.
