Ambulatory Medicine - 4 weeks
*Three non-consecutive 4-week blocks

MICU - 4 weeks
Vacation Blocks- 4 weeks
*One 4-week block
*Two non-consecutive 2-week vacation
Electives - 16 weeks
*Four 4-week blocks

Elective Opportunities
Our growing academic, tertiary care, university hospital provides an exciting training environment with limitless elective options to help you prepare for your medical career. We allow for four (4) elective blocks for a total of 16 weeks. Below is a list of our in-house electives. If there's an interest you may have that's not on this list, we can arrange for rotations at other Northwell Health sites to help you accomplish your goals.

Individualized Attention
In addition to attending didactic conferences during each rotation, all TY residents will meet as a group once a month with program leadership for one-on-one guidance, career planning, simulation exercises, board preparation, and research education. These sessions can be tailored to the specific interests and needs of each resident.
